The dick

Dicks look different from person to person and come in different colors, shapes and sizes. The outside is covered by skin without subcutaneous fat, so sebaceous glands, sweat glands and hair follicles are often visible as small bumps. Blood vessels can also be clearly visible on the cock.

The foreskin protects the glans, the top of the cock. If you have been circumcised, some or all of the foreskin has been removed. For some people, this means that the sensation in the glans is reduced compared to those who still have their foreskin. It can also be extra comfortable to use lubricant when jerking off or having sex, as a cock without foreskin can feel drier. Under the foreskin, smegma forms - a kind of secretion that helps protect the skin and mucous membranes at the end of the cock. The foreskin is very sensitive, and many people like to pull it back and forth over the glans when they wank.

The glans is often the most sensitive part of the cock and plays an important role in sexual pleasure. Just like the rest of the cock, the glans contains erectile tissue and becomes extra sensitive to touch when you're horny. Around the edge of the glans are sometimes pearly bumps called pearly penile papules. They vary in size from person to person, are completely harmless and not a disease. Between the shaft and the underside of the glans is the frenulum, which for many people is the most sensitive part. The frenulum can be stimulated by caressing, kissing, playing with the tongue or, for example, using an air pressure vibrator specially designed for that area. The string moves on to the seam that runs along the entire length of the cock, down over the scrotum and away over the perineum.

The scrotum is made up of normal skin, but unlike the skin in many other places, it lacks a layer of fat. Therefore, sebaceous glands, sweat glands and hair follicles often appear as small bumps in the scrotum. The skin is often darker than the rest of the body and can be hairy.

In the scrotum there are usually two testicles (balls), with one testicle on each. They are often different sizes and do not always hang at the same height. The balls produce sperm and sex hormones, including testosterone. The temperature in the scrotum is slightly lower than in the rest of the body, which is controlled by the ability of the scrotum to contract or relax. This brings the balls closer or further from the body. When you're horny, the scrotum can contract - sometimes the balls can even move up into the body.

The scrotum is very sensitive to strokes, but many people like to be stroked there or in the groin next to it.

Swelling bodies in the cock

The cow contains three areas of corpus cavernosum tissue - two at the top and one at the bottom. The lower one is softer and extends forward to form the glans. When you get horny, blood flow in the pelvis increases, the corpus cavernosum fills with blood, and the cock becomes hard.

It is common to get an erection even when you are not horny. The shape of the erectile tissue affects how the cock looks and which way it points when hard. For example, the cock may be curved or tilted in a certain direction, and it is more common for it to point in one direction than to be completely straight. The swelling bodies go further into the body and split into two parts behind the scrotum. This means that the area between the scrotum and the anal opening - the perineum - can also become hard and sensitive when you have a hard-on. Many people like to be caressed, pressed or massaged here.

If you compare the swollen bodies of the cock with the structure of the clitoris, you will see that they have a lot in common.

Common cock problems

The most common problem for people with dicks is that they sometimes can't get an erection when they want to. This is often due to psychological factors such as stress, anxiety or performance anxiety.

A safe and horny feeling in the body provides good conditions for an erection. Cock rings can help to maintain a hard-on. But difficulties getting or keeping a hard-on can also be caused by medication or illness. If it's a long-term problem, you should seek help - there's a lot of good support available through health services or counseling.

Hygiene

Wash your cock with water. Regular soap can dry out the skin and increase the risk of fungus or irritation. If you want to use soap, there are mild, fragrance-free alternatives that are made for washing intimate parts of the body.

Orgasm and ejaculation

Orgasm is an amazing and intense experience that can come when you are horny and having sex. It is difficult to describe exactly what an orgasm feels like, as it can be experienced differently from person to person - and from time to time. You know best what your orgasm usually feels like.

Before the orgasm, the muscles of the pelvis tense, and during the orgasm the tension releases in pulsating waves.

For most people with dicks, orgasm comes along with ejaculation, that is, fluid from the prostate and seminal vesicles squirting out through the urethra. The fluid usually contains sperm, but this is only a small part of the amount. It is possible to have an orgasm without ejaculation - and to ejaculate without an orgasm - but when both happen at the same time, the contractions in the muscles intensify the sensation.

The rate, amount and appearance of the semen varies between people and occasions. The fluid may be clear, whitish or yellowish, runny or thick, and contain different amounts of sperm.

When you are horny, semen can leak out of the urethra long before ejaculation. Some barely notice it, others get a lot. Pre-cum can contain both sperm that can make someone pregnant, as well as transmit HIV and other STIs.
